OPEN BAR 2027 the Mini cocktail trend: smaller is better

Try this: open the drinks list at any serious cocktail bar.
Next to the classics, more and more often, you'll find a new line: the same drinks, in mini size.
Same recipe, same proportions, smaller glass.
In Europe's best bars it's now standard, and this summer Italy has been talking about it too. Between us, it makes us smile: it's exactly what we do best.
Why everyone loves them
It's simple.
With a full-size drink, you pick one thing. With a small one, you taste three, four, five: it turns into a tasting, the way you'd do with wine.
That's why so many bars now offer a flight: two or three mini drinks served together, to compare side by side.
And then there's temperature: a small drink stays cold and perfect down to the last sip.
Italy was doing it long before
Italians called it a cordialino: a good liqueur, served in a tiny glass, at the end of a meal.
Every Italian grandparent knew it well.
Today the bar world has rediscovered it and given it an English name.
And at your wedding?
Picture the moment after the cake is cut. A hundred guests, a hundred different tastes: some want something creamy, some want something fresh, some are curious and want to try everything.
That's where we come in, with 60 signature shots served in real glass.
A few examples?
The Cannolo Siciliano, with whisky, pistachio liqueur and cream.
The Cheesecake, with blueberry liqueur, amaretto, milk and cream. La Sposa ("the bride"), with coconut cream, peach vodka, milk and cream.
They're real cocktails in miniature: thought-out recipes, quality ingredients, made on the spot in front of your guests.
And since everything is unlimited, everyone finds their favorite without keeping count. In Umbria, we're the only ones doing an open bar like this.
